The Training of our volunteers
a.l.p.h.a. volunteers receive training based upon the department they are interested in working with. In addition to this, a.l.p.h.a. volunteers are also often able to participate in trainings offered in the community that will allow them to develop important skills or receive certification as an HIV test counselor or educator.
All of our HIV Test Counselors are special trained and recieve State Certification from the Idaho Department of Health & Welfare - Family Planning, STD, & HIV Programs and many have additional training.
