Greetings friends of a.l.p.h.a.! January 14, 2012
We say goodbye this month to Duane Quintana, who has been with us . . . . okay, so he started a.l.p.h.a. and has always been here. Now he is taking a new road, with new opportunities and adventures in front of him. We cannot thank him enough for all that he has done for a.l.p.h.a., for the community, and for his friends and clients. We’ll miss him, but we are happy that he is happy. Good luck in Chicago Duane!
With Duane’s departure, a.l.p.h.a. is going through a transition. Like many changes, it is painful, scary, and very exciting. I have ultimate confidence in the present Leadership. We are taking advantage of this time to focus our strengths and our passions to take a.l.p.h.a. into the next chapter of its life.
Over the next few months our goals are to raise funds for 2012 and take a fresh look at our programs and how we do things before the busy summer months are upon us. We have some incredible people, from testers and educators to bookkeepers and filers. Since you are just as much a part of a.l.p.h.a. as any volunteer, it is our wish that you join us in this mission that means so much to us.
To kick off a.l.p.h.a.’s new journey, we’re asking for a simple gift. Here are a few ideas:
You are the most important part of a.l.p.h.a.
Blessings!
Wava Weikel
