Teachers: do this for your students

By: Lindsey Matson

Some of you may not know that a.l.p.h.a.’s education department actually goes into schools and educates about HIV and AIDS.  Well we do, and we are looking for appointments this year.  So teachers: get e-mailing to make sure you have one of the best guest speakers your health class has ever seen!  We will talk about HIV prevention, about the virus, about living with HIV, the stigma attached to HIV, and many other related topics.  Our presenters are all very professional and knowledgeable about the subject.

We work with other organizations besides schools who would like to have presentations, as well.  In the past we have gone to beauty schools and Life’s Kitchen to educate.  We are willing to work with the organizations on a sliding scale of fees.  We don’t want anyone to miss out on this chance at a great education for both young and old, so please get in contact with our Education Manager, Lindsey Matson at Lindsey@alphaidaho.org.  A.l.p.h.a.’s education department likes to have presenters scheduled at least a month ahead of time.  Let her know what days would work for you, how long the presentation should be and what you would like or not like covered!  We look forward to working with you!
