Testing and confidentiality
To the people who do the free HIV testing....
I'd like to come in for testing at ALPHA (Mondays and Wednesdays, right?) I just want to make sure, before I do, that my visit is entirely confidential. Will I see a bunch of people from the clubs down there, or is it a pretty intimate environment? Will anyone ever know I was there?
Thanks for letting me know.

ALPHA's testing atmosphere
ALPHA's testing atmosphere is great. To me, it is much better than clinics and other places. Will you meet somebody from a bar? I can't say no for sure, but the chance of that happening are very slim. ALPHA does not restrict any body from visiting the office and/or get tested. To get tested, the procedure is quite simple:
1). Check-in at the front desk. Get basic paperwork done.
2). As soon as tester is available, you will be taken to a testing room (only 2 people are present - you & the tester).
3). You will have your result in approx 20 mins.
It's that simple! You will be in and out in about 30-45 mins. For more information on testing hours and other information, visit the website.
The client information is striclty confidential and only state authorized testers can access the information. Furthmore, ALPHA is very serious about client's confidentiality and stores all the records in a safe, locked area. Nobody other than the tester will know that you got tested at ALPHA.
In general, it is great, calm environment to get tested.
Take care .
